Cavani will most likely join Chelsea, but after the Confederations Cup.

Courtois

Belgium wonder kid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois who was on loan at Atletico Madrid for two seasons has finished his loan spell and will head back to London and train with the Chelsea squad during pre-season, however he will go back to Atletico Madrid on loan for the third time.

Chelsea will be without backup goalkeepers Hilario, who has retired and also Ross Turnbull who was not on the retained list and has left Chelsea. This means, Cech will still remain as the number one goal keeper and Jamal Blackman will be the only backup keeper. It would make sense that Chelsea will be looking to either get an experienced goalkeeper on loan or buy a new young goalkeeper that will end up being a 2nd choice of Courtois, when Cech retires.

Cavani

Apparently Chelsea have agreed a deal with Napoli to sign Edinson Cavani for a fee said to be around €58m (£49.5 million) on a 5 year deal worth £125,000/week. Chelsea will set to announce this next week and will become Mourinho’s first signing for the blues.

I hope this is true, because Chelsea need a Striker like Cavani who has scored 78 goals for Napoli in 104 apperances.

Comedian, producer, writer and Chelsea presenter Chris Cohen, has even said “Cavani as good as done I’m told by the way” in his twitter feed and his sources are generally reliable. He even tweeted that Mourinho was holding talks with Abromovich back in March before everyone and Mourinho ended up back at Chelsea on his second spell. Well you’ve heard it here first.

Schurrle

Chelsea fans must be grateful that Mourinho is back at Chelsea for a second spell and it would be really interesting to see what his possible summer signings will be and whether he will be looking to offload some.

Schurrle, the German winger/striker is currently playing for Bayer Leverkusen and has been highly speculated to join Chelsea. Talks are on-going and it would seem like the deal should go through by the end of the week. Kevin De Bruyne could go the other way (on loan) even though he is considering a permanent move to Dortmund. If Schurrle joins Chelsea this summer, it would be a great signing for the blues as he will give the width we need.

Cavani

Cavani is another player speculated. It would make sense that Chelsea will be looking for an experienced natural goal scorer, which he has scored 120 goals for Napoli in 104 appearances so far. Cavani has a release clause in his contract, said to be around about £53.5 million, which Chelsea could be able to meet, despite the Financial Fair Play. Napoli’s President Aurelio De Laurentiis has even confirmed that Chelsea are interested in him and talks are underway. Torres could possibly go the other way in the deal with a money + player deal and he could reunite with his former Liverpool and Chelsea boss Rafa Benitez, who is now the new Napoli Manager. Cavani would be a great signing for Chelsea and I feel he is the striker we need.

Mangala

Mangala is speculated to join Chelsea from Porto and some reports claiming Mourinho has held talks with the Centre Back and could possibly replace John Terry. Mangala is said to have a buy-out clause in his contract, which is around bout £30 million pounds. Chelsea will not fork out that much for his services but may pay around £20 million. Porto paid Standard Liege £5.5 million for him just two years ago and he has been solid throughout.

This signing is possible, as Chelsea’s defence needs a bit of improvement. John Terry is also speculated to join Monaco, who they are very interested in offering John Terry a big mouth watering deal, which could see him leave this summer.

Hulk

Hulk is another player Chelsea are interested in, last season he was highly speculated to join Chelsea, but somehow the deal couldn’t go through, as Porto wasn’t willing to let him go and instead he jointed Zenit St Petersberg. He hasn’t had the best games playing for Zenit and they could be willing to let him leave for around £30 million.

If we do get Hulk, it would seem like our midfield will be stacking up with too many players in this role. So I am not sure if Chelsea will need his services. Hulk is no doubt a good player, as shown when he plays in Brazil’s international matches. His physical ability suits the Premier League and if he does join Chelsea, I can see him to fit in perfectly, but then it would mean players like Oscar, Moses and even Marin will probably get less game time or even be sold.

Moments after the article was published, it went quite viral making a lot of people thinking it was official but until later, it was removed.

I believe Mourinho has officially signed, but Chelsea are just waiting for his arrival on Monday and should officially announce it to the media.

Jose Mourinho

The Special One has put pen to paper today (27 May 2013) on a 4 year deal that will see him back to Stamford Bridge for a 2nd spell. The deal is said to be worth over £50 million over the period of 4 years.

He was spotted today by a Chelsea fan in Imperial Wharf, Chelsea Harbour, walking with 2 men along the riverbank, as he was heading to get his contract sorted out. Mourinho was at Wembley Stadium today watching the Championship match between Crystal Palace vs Watford. His main focus was on Chalobah who was loaned out to Watford to see if he wants him back at Chelsea.

This is very good news for Chelsea fans, as the fans have always wanted him back. Hopefully Chelsea can have stability and keep Mourinho for at least a few seasons.

The referee’s failed to see the incident, and therefore didn’t give out any cards. The FA will take action against Suarez and will most likely ban him for 7 matches. He bit someone before during his career in Ajax and was punished and banned for 7 matches previously. Liverpool Brendan Rogers will need to decide whether he will sell him at the end of the season. Suarez will most likely not feature this season and has gave himself a bad image.
